Something that you can’t see while you’re enjoying Florida waters on the ground is a big-picture view of all the marine life present here. A common marine mammal that can be spotted from above is the endangered Florida manatee. Florida is the only state in the US where you can see these marine mammals.

Multiple sea turtle species may also be spotted on our seaplane tours, some of which are endangered. The green sea turtle and hawksbill sea turtle are common residents in South Florida waters. Part of these animals’ ranges is protected by the Biscayne National Park.

The park has made great efforts to preserve marine life and land wildlife. Sea turtle nests are monitored every summer to protect them from predation or damage. In fact, the park has become one of the state’s most important wildlife management areas, protecting hundreds of species.

Our Big Cypress Seaplane Tour can take you on an adventure above the freshwater swamp of the Big Cypress National Preserve. Here you can observe the vast swamplands of the area, which is home to a wide variety of tropical and temperate plants. This is also home to the endangered Florida panther.
