From there your packrafting tour begins! Your guide will talk about the sites and mangroves with their important role in the Florida Keys Eco Systems, as you glide over clear, protected, shallow waters, through remote mangrove jungles taking in the wonderful scenery around you. Sugarloaf Key harbors some of the Keys most stunning diversity of wildlife, best seen while packrafting around the island. Look out for dolphins, manatees, and five species of endangered sea turtles that inhabit the Florida Keys. Much of the area is part of the Great Heron National Wildlife Refuge, which encompasses 200,000 acres of water and islands.
